Extension v2 is out
The biggest update since v1.0. Most of it is stuff I wanted while using v1 every day.
30-second walkthrough — WHOIS, drop badges, marketplace prices, TLD search.
I use this extension every day. The small annoyances stacked up. v2 is the rebuild.
What's new
Rebuilt from scratch
The popup got a full redesign. Same tool, but now visually consistent with the website. The result loads faster and looks like part of the brand instead of a side project.
Drop badges on expiring domains
When a domain you look up is in grace, redemption, or pending-delete phase, the popup now shows exactly when it drops.
Look up an expiring domain and you'll see a red "Drops in ~5 days" badge next to the name. Useful when timing a backorder.
Marketplace listings inline
If a domain is listed on Afternic, Sedo, Spaceship, Atom, Dynadot, or another aftermarket, the popup shows the marketplace and asking price right next to the WHOIS data. No more bouncing to a different tab to check.
Faster everywhere
- Instant search returns the first response in 50-200 ms via cached availability, then refreshes with live registrar data
- Detail panel loads marketplace data on click, not upfront
- Wider TLD coverage routes through official RDAP servers (.me, .edu, .jp, .ru, .it, .ie, .dk, .se)
- Iceland (ISNIC) and Kenya (KeNIC) registries now parse expiry dates correctly
200+ TLDs, shared with the website
The extension and the website now read from the same RDAP server map. When I add a new registry on the backend, the extension picks it up on its next refresh. No manual sync needed.
Get the update
v2 is rolling out now. Existing users will be prompted to re-grant permissions on first launch (the new features need a few extra scopes). New users can install fresh from the stores.
